  Mongolia-China-Philippines-USA  July 2014

(Picture Night/Day: The Bund-Shanghai, China)

July, I traveled from UB-Ulaanbaatar Mongolia to Beijing China by train. Spent 9 days there, then took high speed rail (160mph) to Shanghai for 5 days there. Seeing sights and meeting people everywhere I went. I was overwhelmed with development that was obvious to observe. Major construction projects, buildings, roads and bridges, and high speed train system. The beauty of China country side was everything pictures could capture and more.

Traveling through China, I met many young Chinese ready to talk English with me. It was a great joy to share with them my story, and hear theirs. I came away with great joy and anticipation for my next trip.

Shanghai: the “Bund” is an amazing district for beauty, creativity, and lights. At night the people come to the river side in the warm evenings to watch the lights displayed by the architectural beautiful of buildings. On the walkway by the river, people collect, connect and enjoy meeting foreigners and other Chinese coming from other areas of China to experience the Bund.

In both cities I stayed right down town in central places in the main stream of business and tourism. As a result, I also had wonderful encounter with foreigners by Sovereign appointment, meeting individuals from other nations visiting China. Spain, France, England, etc.

Presently, in the Philippines. I have come for 6 weeks. I taught for a week at a training school for international, cross cultural work, young people being trained for difficult areas of Philippines and other countries. Amazing dedicated youth.

Sundays, speaking in Churches from Manila to Davao, on the Holy Spirit and His unquenchable Fire. One Place, Mighty things happen. We are planning a follow up youth service and children teacher training and outreach. We are anticipating a fruitful outreach. Please keep us on your hearts, for break through on leaders and community.

Every weekend has been marvelous calling individuals to the Harvest Field. Gifts have been imparted with Vision, Passion, and Destiny with specific direction, and heart felt change. Individuals who had been resisting God’s call on their lives surrendered. PtL. In the remaining days, appreciate your continued passionate prayers for eyes, ears, hearts to be open and responsive to the Holy Spirit.

Thank you for your thoughts and backing as I have been traveling. These last 10 weeks have been the most rewarding time. Words of love and appreciation for all God has done, and how He has used you to participate in all He has done from Mgl to Phil to USA…PtL!

With LOVE, Gratitude to God and You-

Bro Mark

March 2014

Greetings from Mongolia

Greetings!
Winter is still in progress with blankets of snow and a bit of thawing during the daylight hours. I watch from a distance as the Herdsmen, bundled on horseback are moving slowly across the steppe …while longing for spring. Herds of cattle, horses, sheep and goats nuzzle their way into the snow finding the frozen grass.

Mongolia:

The new school term is underway and I am excited to be teaching at Dh.U. I am enjoying my time in Darkhan as my 3 years of service is coming to a close this summer. Last year was challenging on many levels and appears to have been preparing me for the changes on the horizon. These years, overall, can be said to be a race well run.

Several more of the “12 men” are coming into view. The vision is slowly coming to pass of raising up leaders. I have shared in different venues how I have met significant young leaders and spending time sharing Father’s love and purposes for their lives.

March to June thoughts to consider:

  • For connections as Acts 19
  • For God to lift up leaders in Mgl.
  • For Holy Spirit/Fire promised in Joel 2/Acts 2; Luke 3:16
Mgl-China-USA
Patience required. By July 1st, with Mgl. visa expiring, I am becoming more flexible having a new approach to work here. Have you ever felt like nothing is happening and the temptation is to become busy with many things? I have discovered when nothing seems to be happening, stay the course, wait, preparing to catch the wind of the Spirit. The reward is abundantly above human expectation and imaginings. I am keenly aware that this is the time to hold myself steady and wait…at the appointed time, there is that movement in the Spirit when He is rushing forward and new opportunities are opening. After June, I will go by way of China, then travel back to the USA.
Thanks & Appreciation for Vision and Partners

The Vision: See, Hear, Understand and “Do”.

*Joel 2:24 “The threshing floor shall be full of wheat, and the vats shall overflow with new wine and oil.” *John 4:35“Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields, for they are already white for harvesting!” *Mark 16:15-20; Mat 28:18-20; Acts of the Holy Spirit today and “to the uttermost parts.”

These amazing verses have given us commands, promises, and authority, once received, is authority acted upon. Here authority is not of our own making, but by appointment of the Holy Spirit. The commission since the foundations of the world for each of us individually and corporately. We are in step and on time in the His Plan. (Eph 1) PTL.

Thank you for your prayerful and faithful support,

Bro Mark

PS: Proverbs 3:5-6; We will trust in the LORD with all our hearts and not lean to our understanding as we go through the months ahead together.

Greetings!

Merry Christmas and greetings from Mongolia. It is a beautiful snowy white Christmas at -30. I have decorated my tree, filled the house with Christmas music, and am reflecting on the precious gifts of God and the honor it is to be in Mongolia at this time in history.

I treasure the Christmas season as it re-awakens and reminds me anew of the Gift of the Lord Jesus Christ, coming, delivering, healing, and saving us. I celebrate Christ coming, and I anticipate His return. My meditations have been on:

Isaiah 9:6, “For unto a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; and the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called, Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. ”

Luke 15, as the same picture is pained of the Father running at His two sons in restorative affirmations. The desires of God are to reconcile the fallen to Himself. These are stories of God running toward us, embracing, and restoring us as His Children. His love never fails us as Wonderful, Counselor, Prince of Peace…Mighty God.

Come, worship Him, and tell of His goodness and grace in our lives to others. Appreciate His Gift of Eternal Life from our Everlasting Father. Reciprocate by bringing gifts as the Wise-men did. What do we have more precious than faith refined by fire; frankincense-adoration; myrrh, laying down our lives, picking up our cross, and following Him. Oh, come Precious Treasures; let us adore Him with precious faith, adoration, and obedient responses of love.
With Christmas, comes the New Year-2014. Greet it with joy and expectation. A fresh start!

Greet Him with joy and expectation having hearts that desire what is Holy, a re-commitment for being with Him in secret, and for a fresh commitment of time soaking in His Word! As His beloved, He is always attentive to our hearts, and gracious toward us. He treasures the Secret Places with us. Matthew 6, Psalm 27, 91, and verses He has personally given to you.

This season my heart is warmed with thanksgiving, gratitude, and joy. Thank you for your generosity, consistent support, and faithful prayer for me and the work of God in Mgl. It is a treasure beyond evaluation.

With warmest wishes, heart-felt prayer, and gratitude for you, “Thank you, Merry Christmas, and have a Happy New Year-2014.

In Christ Love,
Bro Mark

June, 2013

Greetings from Mongolia,

School is over, a cool spring to summer is here, and opportunity to travel and speak is here…
I am flying for Hovt, in western Mgl. on Friday…(1000 miles by open road.)
Last year I experienced God moving in wonderful ways that has left lives changed. This is the next opportunity to follow up and move to the next level. It is a town of about 40,000 with 10 churches. It is very dry hard place, and the churches need refreshing…rain from Heaven.

It is an exciting time to go. It really is a frontier town toward the west, where Mgl ends.
Here I meet an amazing young man. Now as we go, he is willing to give it all for the call on his life, and for his nation, and beyond. His call is clear. We worked together, he as my interpreter, host, and worship leader…like I said, an amazing young man. Excited for him, his call, and opportunities.

Acts 19: Find! Next 9 weeks Travel & Speak:
June/July, I am traveling to Hovt to continue building relations with those whom God has directed:
1. Travel safety; Health; Courage
2. Pray for Mtg: Gov & Daughter
3. Pray for Mtg: Leaders, fresh filling of Holy Spirit and fire, power, love,
vision and that launches them forward.July/August; Hovt, then travel to Uganda & Sudan:
1. Travel, Divine appointments with leaders;
2. New leaders: launch works.
3. Honor the Father & sons, help to establish their works of faith.
As they continue fulfilling Matt 28 & Mark 16 commission.
4. WAIT on the LORD; See; Hear; Obey by responding accordingly…September; Darkhan, Mgl.
I return to teach one last year in DU. I enjoy Teaching English, the school has been flexible and good to me, so am grateful and seek ways to bless them in return.Opportunity: New English Teacher: Kim, from Seattle,
So pleased, she is coming from NW Church to teach English here also. It is a great opportunity. Mgl is a big life style change, so appreciate her courage in coming. Things are being prepared for her as she is coming ………eventually. (Hummmmm) Part of that cultural adjustment thing……..
Hey: “You are welcome too! Please come, visit or stay, welcome :-)”

Special thanks and appreciation as you focus your prayer this summer….

This is a strategic moment for Mgl and Africa. Please pray most earnestly for me as I travel and speak, and act on the things God has brought me this far to do…. with faith, virtue, and courage.Your faithful support and prayer are above evaluation in these next few months. I have purposefully kept these plans quiet, but now feel the need to inform you at this strategic moment. With great anticipation I look forward to seeing what God will do as we respond to His direction and go through the open doors. Will share more when back with you.

Greetings!

Greetings. Thank you for your love, prayers, and support. This has been an extraordinary summer, ministering in W. Mgl in June, then flying to Uganda and S Sudan in July-Aug to meet and follow-up with those I worked with before coming to Mgl. It was a trip of a life time filled with affirmations, gratitude, and love. Then flying to USA, for my Mom’s funeral & memorial. I will try to share briefly some highlights.

Pastors Irene and Asili,

These were key pastors and leaders during the revival where many people came to Christ and many churches planted. We cried and laughed together as we shared what God had done and now doing since last we met.
Asili, far right, have launched a new work in N. Uganda, since leaving S Sudan. Their goal is to reach toward Congo. He is sharing Christ, seeing miracles and planting churches. Staying in their home was a true treasure.
Irene, center, led a church in S Sudan since her conversion to Christ. She is has the most beautiful Spirit of the Lord resting on her. His fire, anointing, and authority as a woman of God rests on her.
Both of there are pressing forward in the work and word of God in faith and vision. No greater joy then to see them fruitful in the Greater Things of God.

Pastors Charles and Henry,

It was a treasured time meeting dear friends, Pr Charles of the Anglican Church, and Pr Henry of the Sudan Pentecostal  Church. We shared testimonies, and planned for the near future. Sharing what God had done and the potential that lay for Greater Things…. Our hearts were filled with faith and hope as we shared God’s heart for Sudan. I am filled with unspeakable joy, and glory…Oil of Unity.
Michael & Ronald: FCF

Michael was a young man, an orphan I met in Uganda in 2008. As a result, he met Ronald, and another young orphaned man, leading to discovery of 50 orphaned children in refuse place. That led to helping, feeding, caring for these truly neglected orphans. Through the charity of Ronald, FCF is being launched: Fruits of Charity Foundation. I have been advising them, and through our mutual connection in UG, have been able to register and formally launch the Foundation.
The story is unique, and unfolding. It is an amazing thing to see the beginning of something that effects many lives, and is transformational. Be praying as they continue to organize and move steadily forward. They are on the verge of arranging the first big move from the dump site to a “real home” as FCF is given the authority to secure and move the children. PTL.
Pr Zaya of UB, Mgl.

On my return to Mgl. I stayed with Pr Zaya. He has seen both great moves of God and the trials of growth. God put us together.
I see the opportunity and field before him. He is in a strategic place in the Capital-“UB” Mgl. Please be praying for this man and the Vision for UB & Mgl. He
is strategically located in a central hub area along with his wife with three beautiful children.
Mother’s Memorial:

My mother and father met in a Kansas blizzard. She was a school teacher in a one room school house, and my dad, a cowboy at the end of the long road passing that school. Finding her snowed in, he went got another horse to take her home, and you can guess the rest of the story…. 65 years together, 10 children, grand and great grand children….
We learned the fear of God, values of prayer, Bible, devotions, Church life, Tithing, and Missions. One topic we never tired of and occupied most of our conversations were about Scripture and the Lord and what He was doing.
She was a meticulous bookkeeper, farmer along with dad, bus driver, and conducted a Community Ladies Bible study for 30 years in her home.
An amazing group of true prayer warriors. God is the God of the living, not dead. He is the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob….and Bettie…she has joined those who have believed and lived the life of faith in Christ Jesus, our great Hope, Author and Perfecter of our faith.
Thanks for teaching what it is to have a life verse, to be given a Birth Verse for my life, and see it manifest.
What a treasure.
I so need and appreciate your prayers.
Love = Obedience
THANK YOU for your support, love, and affirmations.
I am grateful for each of you.
I am amazed at your faithfulness and love. Thank you.

Greetings!

Greetings from Mongolia. It was great seeing many of you on my short visit home. This trip was spent mostly with my aging parents and ministry issues. It was a full trip. Arriving back in Mgl, with spring trying to push its way forward with sunny days and snow melting, and snowing at night again. Beautiful.I arrived back in Mgl after the school term started so am playing catch-up. Students and teachers were happy to see me, and I them.
These first couple weeks in March also have been focused on summer ministry plans. On weekends, I travel from Darkhan down to UB on overnight train. I then meet with different pastors and young leaders interested in either UB or Hovt ministry opportunities.

Well done, good, & faithful servant, At 84, My mom closed her Bible study after 30 Years.

While I was at home, my mom fell several time. After 30 years teaching her Women’s Community Bible Study, she realized her time was completed.
The last Thursday meeting the ladies arrived, knowing this was the last one. They came with appreciative words and prayers of thanksgiving. They also came sharing new opportunities they had to lead other ladies Bible Studies. It was a wonderful time of love and appreciation.
This group had been the Back Bone of Prayer for me since 2004. So for me personally, to be there that last Thursday was very special, and to hear the ladies praise and give thanks, was a moment to be long treasured.
Thanks Mom for faithful service to Christ, and the prayer backing you were to all that happen in Sudan, now Mongolia, and even the future in the visions God has shown us.
Thank you ladies, for your faithfulness. You are treasures, all of you.
I treasure the answered prayers we shared together, and the times God woke you to pray…and you did! And Miracles happened. My folks, Al and Bettie, have been on the family farm since 1968, so it has been a full adventure and journey for the family. So appreciate your prayers as they move forward in the grace, life, and power of God, in fullness with God. With Love and Appreciation.
Psalm 119

49 Remember the word to Your servant,
Upon which You have caused me to hope.
50 This is my  comfort in my affliction,
For Your word has given me life.
55 I remember Your name in the night, O Lord,
    And I keep Your law.
56 This has become mine,

Because I kept Your precepts. (The New King James Version)

It is amazing how and when He gives you great courage and comfort. You can keep going based on His Word.
2013 Vision, Goals, Plans.
One purpose in coming to the States in January is to debrief and share. I also attend several conferences and visit as many individuals as possible who have so faithfully supported what God has envisioned us with.*Connecting with the twelve men in Mgl, as in Acts 19
*Holy Spirit & Leaders Conferences in June, July, Aug.
*Launching new projects
THANK You all, for your, love, gifts, & encouragements.

Happy Holidays from Cross Border Int’l Ministry
Greetings!
Wishing you a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
Thank you for your faithfulness since the new launch in 2010 to Mongolia.

All the best to you and your family, with love and gratitude. Each year there is something new that stands out from the Birth of Jesus.
This season, it has been Jesus coming as the Prince of Peace. The One who governs and shoulders government aright. Since birth, in a most humble manger, kings have plotted to destroy Him. Others have sought to find and worship Him. The worlds governments were whirling around Him. Today, governments are still whirling, trying to make peace without God, without the Prince of Peace. Peace is a God gift, and comes from His Wisdom. Men make treaties, and financial deals, and plot, to take advantage of one another…to no advantage of those they seek to secure…it is all too much. And we quickly loose heart. Except, God!We can rest in Peace, that comes from God. With Him, there are no shadows, no turns, no smoke screens nor mirrors. He is the One Holy Scriptures describes as The Prince of Peace; Wonderful; Counselor; Mighty God; Everlasting Father. He is the One the World needs….and He is come….Let not your heart be troubled!
Steppe & Ger
“The Word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart,
(that is the word of faith which we preach); that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God has raise Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. for the scripture says “whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.”
“Whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”How shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed, …nor heard?
How shall they hear without at preacher…unless they are sent?
“How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace,
who brings glad tidings of good things!”..So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”
“Their sounds has gone out to all the earth, and their word to the ends of the world.”
Romans 10:8-18The Gospel is going to the ends of the earth…
These are the greatest days of our lives.

Thank You

JESUS
Prince
of Peace
In a world where peace is hard to find, and easily lost, Jesus is our True Peace, Prince of Peace, and source of Joy in true Tranquility! “For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; and the government will be on His shoulders. and His name will be called, Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father,
Prince of Peace.
Of the increase of His government and peace there will be no end.
Upon the throne of David and over His kingdom, to order it and establish it with judgment and justice from that time forward, even forever. The zeal of the LORD of host will perform this.” Isaiah 9:6-7
Thanks You

I am looking forward to being home part of January and February 2013.
Each New Year I reflect on the past, make and renew resolutions for continual progress.
Each year, I return to CtF in Toronto, for refreshing and renewal. It has been one of the Wells of Refreshing God has used to envision me since 2004. I rejoice in how we have seen God do so much as a result of seeing, hearing, and obeying Him.
*Please mark your calendar for January 21-26, and pray for me this week, and as I travel.
I truly appreciate you and all God has done this past year, and the  unfolding opportunities in 2013. My heart is full of gratitude.
Thank you LORD!

And the man said to me, “Son of man, look with your eyes and hear with your ears, and fix your mind on everything I show you;for you were brought here so that I might show them to you. Declare to the house of Israel everything you see.” Ezekiel 40:4
I have returned from Hovt after 6 weeks, with mixed emotions and asking that great Biblical Question:

“What is it?”

2 Days, 2 Nights, a loaded van, and 1000 miles of Godi, open and expansive wilderness. No real road, just open desert….for miles. One day we traveled 5 hours before seeing another vehicle. We passed wild camel herds, crossed small rivers, and stopped briefly for fuel and food. The warm dry air blowing through the van felt refreshing and comforting.
I had tried on my own to get to Hovt for a year, now, exactly to the day, I was going at the university’s invitation with another teacher to represent them at a College Fair. After 4 days at the fair registering new students, “we” were ready to return home. I didn’t move. This was the place I had had a Vision of in Jan 2010. The teacher returned, and I was left alone, in a city of 40,000, a hotel with restaurant, a Vision, and not translator. But I was here….watching, listening, and waiting.
Prayer walks; Translator; Awe….

I had come to meet a specific person, but he was no-where to be found. But I knew his office, and began daily prayer walks.
By way of a “guy who knew a guy” I was linked up with a young man. He became my resident translator and friend. We got to know each other as we shared stories and testimonies. Our first meeting we drove to a more-remote village and shared in a service there.
First week end:
I shared in a “remote” village, 60 miles out of town on the back side of the wilderness.Second week end:
I was  asked to preach after they heard about the Holy Spirit and Hovt and W. Mgl. Since we had no formal introductions, it was up the the Holy Spirit to unit us. At close of that meeting God healed a teenage girl setting her free from hate and anger as He filled her with His Love. She wept as she gave testimony of filling of freedom and joy.The following day, while speaking on the Holy Spirit and fire, The Spirit fell on the entire service. People immediately began worshiping, expressing praise and worship as they were filled with love, joy, peace, and inner healing to such a dramatic level, they spontaneously started giving testimonies of what God had just done. They expressed joy and freedom being filled declaring the wonderful work God, the things He had just done for them.Spontaneous All Day Monday Service:
Immediately they planned for a full day seminar for-Monday. I shared from 9am until 7:30 pm the next day on the Holy Spirit and fire as promised from Luke 3:16. Again the Holy Spirit fell on the entire group. Again they experienced the manifest Presence of the Holy Spirit. It was wonderful.
Two days later, a lady who had heard about the events came on the Monday Seminar. She returned to her family, and leaders came to my hotel asking for me, to come to their home for a leaders meeting. This turned into  three meetings where they too wanted to know more about the Holy Spirit. God moved graciously and wonderfully. Again many feeling the wonderful love and joy they had never before experienced. They shared of an emptiness in and sense of deadness and weariness in their lives. But God met their hunger and thirst with Water of His Spirit as promised in John 4:14.
Eventually I shared with many leaders, one was the Director of the Protestant Office for government affairs. She was a Person of great interest to me and one of the reasons I was to go to Hovt. We met several times sharing mutual Visions for Hovt, W. Mgl.

This has been an extraordinary summer. Like Elijah, after my return from W Mgl, my let down prevented me from appreciating the Victories as a result of going. But, I began to count the Blessings from obedience in going, and found myself being overwhelmed. There were amazing victories. I went knowing no on in Hovt. Today I have a whole net work of leaders that I am joined to. God’s ways are higher than our ways, and His ways past finding out, but He is letting us in on enough details that keep us tracking… on time and instep with Him. Your prayer and support are beyond evaluation. Thanks to your faithful and generous support. Spiritually, Keep up the Passion and Push, This is where YOU get to shine the most!!!!!!!!!!!
Even these spiritual battles I face here, are repelled by your Shields of Faith about me. YOUR Prayers in the Spirit and True worship. I can do nothing without your Prayer Power behind me. When you think of me, take a minute and pour out a Fiery Prayer of Passion and Faith. Imagine, the Spirit fell here in four meetings like He did in Acts….Wow! That is wonderful, amazingly….powerful. The Fruit is coming……That is your joy, celebrate!

Greetings from Mongolia

January 2012

Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields for they are already white for harvest.                            John 4:35
Wheat fields MglWheat fields with grassy gentle rolling steppe in back ground. Summer with short growing season, preparing for long winter.

Greetings!

I love the New Year as it is a time for evaluation of achievements, celebration, and re-commitment to continued growth of those things not yet fulfilled. I spend time reflecting and preparing for each New Year.

2011 was a challenging year of change:

1. Launching Cross Border Intl. Ministry.

2. Moving to Mongolia, engaging in culture, teaching English in a University. Teaching English Foreign Language (TEFL) qualified me for a Visa, resident card, and privilege to live here.

3. The Mgl. Church has existed only since 1990. In the last few months the Holy Spirit has been pouring out a refreshing in the local church. Members and individuals are being activated in their Spiritual gifts, people coming to the Lord, and individuals being healed.

4. I feel like a tree being planted in a new land, establishing new roots and relationships. It is a new frontier with all of its challenges. The food has been wonderful. My apartment has heat, hot water, and electricity from a coal powered system just out of the city. Things are somehow efficient enough.

5. Making a home in Mongolia, complete with stove with oven: snicker-doodles, cinnamon buns, pizza, cake, and lots of cookies…comfort food.

6. Making a lot of new friends: THANK YOU for your faith, trust, support in prayer and finances as we have launched into this new Ministry.

Christ’s love, Bro. Mark

Acts 19; Isa. 32:15-20

In January on my birthday, I attend a Conference in Toronto. I have attended every year since 2004. It is a strategic conference where God has so faithfully filled and revealed His purposes for both me, whether in Sudan, Mongolia, India, or wherever. It has been the joy and source of faith building, and personal refreshing. John 5:19. Jesus did only what He saw the Father doing. It is a very present active tense verse. I am home Jan. 22-Feb. 22 completing the 2011 year, evaluate, writing reports, and set vision for 2012 direction. Amazing what has happen in only six months. We will continue to:1. Build relationships and opportunities through DU and Mgl. 2. Keep clear and strategic focus on the Acts 19/12 Men-Leaders

3. Continue: *Masters in Ministry Program; *TEFL Education

4. Plan W Mgl trip for summer, which is part of the Vision.  Strategic planning, creating opportunities. W. Mongolia is a remote and difficult place, will be sharing more later.

Jonathan of Sonrise Christian Center (Everett), will be joining me for 2-3 months. He will meet young people and connect with them practicing English, opening doors in relationship both with Mongolians and Turkish students. It is a wonderful opportunity for young adults to be up front and building relationships for a life time, or forever. Looking forward to his coming.

Hetee & Mark 2011
Hetee was introduced to me by a mutual friend, Chris Bayer of Gig Harbor. Hetee leads the fully Mongolian Church. Blessing on Hetee. What treasure!
